Agnes and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day‎

I got fired today. It was for something totally stupid, and I did 80% of the work there and the people who do NO WORK AT ALL are not getting fired from it and suddenly I'm going to be eligible for Unemployment for the first time in my LIFE and have to figure out if I can afford COBRA and if anyone knows of a job for an elderly fat gimp please let me know.

Definitely brave the wilds of Unemployment Paperwork as soon as you can; don't put it off. I have an aversion to such paperwork and speak from (limited, but pertinent) experience.

Being fired from a job is incredibly corrosive of one's self-esteem. (I got whacked exactly 20 days before you did, and had to have a hearing to win unemployment benefits. I got my first check this week!) But keep your chin up, and keep believing in yourself. You can make it. I have faith in you.
